Lordsburg, NM (March 25, 2021) - Three people on board a single-engine plane were injured after it crashed outside of Lordsburg on Wednesday, March 24.
Local sources revealed that the incident occurred at around 1:30 a.m. that morning. The plane was reportedly flying from Stockton, Texas to Tucson, Arizona. Officials from the New Mexico State Police were called to the scene to assist those involved in the accident.
The injured parties were first rescued from the mountain and transported to an area where EMTs could provide medical aid. At this time, the severity of the resulting injuries has not been disclosed in local reports.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by Federal Aviation Administration.
