Grants, NM - Infant Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on I-40

Grants, NM (August 2, 2022) - A two-vehicle collision outside of Grants on Tuesday morning, August 2, resulted in the death of an infant. The deadly accident took place on Interstate 40 and involved 12 people. 

Local reports revealed that 8 people were riding in a Nissan Quest as four people traveled in a Honda Pilot. The Honda struck the rear of the Nissan. The impact caused the Quest to lose control and overturn. 

An infant was ejected from the Nissan. A 27-year-old passenger in the vehicle was hurt and taken to a local hospital for treatment. 

No other information has been provided at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the deadly crash has been provided.
