Albuquerque, NM (July 16, 2022) – Authorities in the Albuquerque area were notified that a motor vehicle accident took place on Saturday evening that sent at least one person to a local hospital where they required medical attention. Just after 5:40 p.m., on July 15, calls for assistance came into the Albuquerque Police Department regarding the crash that was blocking Interstate 40.
Preliminary investigations show that a collision between vehicles occurred on the eastbound side of the interstate. The crash caused some disruptions in traffic patterns along the eastbound side of the roadway in the area near Juan Tabo Boulevard Northeast.
Emergency medical personnel responded to the site of the accident to assist. At least one of the people involved in the motor vehicle collision was transported by medical personnel to a local hospital to undergo medical treatment for injuries suffered in the crash.
The Albuquerque Police Department has investigations surrounding the accident underway.
