Carlsbad, NM (June 29, 2022) - A woman was killed following a two-vehicle crash in Carlsbad on Saturday, June 25. The deadly collision took place on US-62 near Washington Ranch Road.
Local sources revealed that 21-year-old Eustacia Aislin Visona was headed eastbound in a 2016 Chevy. While crossing the southbound lanes of the highway, Visona was hit by an oncoming 2020 Ford pickup truck. Visona was airlifted to a local hospital in critical condition and later pronounced dead.
No other injuries were reported. An ongoing crash investigation is in progress.
