Loving, NM - Aaron Moreno Killed in Truck Accident on NM-128

Loving, NM (September 8, 2021) - A deadly multi-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck in Loving ended in two fatalities. 

The fatal accident occurred on NM-128  near mile marker 128 at around 6:36 a.m. that morning. According to local reports, 39-year-old Jesse Godfrey of Odessa, Texas was traveling westbound in a 2019 Dodge Ram pickup truck. The pickup reportedly crossed into eastbound traffic. 

The vehicle crashed into the left side of a 2013 International Commercial Motor Vehicle driven by a 21-year-old man. After the initial impact, the Dodge was hit by an eastbound 2019 GMC pickup driven by a 40-year-old man. 

Godfrey and one of his passengers, 24-year-old Aaron Moreno of Midland, Texas, were killed in the accident. Two other passengers in the Dodge were injured, as well as two other involved parties. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is underway.
