Lea Co, NM - Cameron Reeve Killed in Head-On Crash with Semi on NM-206

Lea Co, NM (May 14, 2021) - A Tatum woman was killed following a two-vehicle collision in Lea County on Monday, May 10. 

The accident occurred that night at around 7:32 p.m. that night near milepost 16 on NM-206. Local reports revealed that 35-year-old Cameron Reeve of Tatum was traveling northbound on the highway in a 2019 Toyota SUV at the time of the deadly crash. Reeve reportedly collided head-on with a 2012 Mack semi-truck traveling south on NM-206. 

Reeve sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead by attending paramedics. The 63-year-old woman driving the 18-wheeler was airlifted to the University Medical Center in Lubbock in serious condition. No further updates have been provided at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the accident is underway.
