Curry Co, NM (May 18, 2021) - A Sunday night crash in Curry County resulted in the death of a Muleshoe teenager.
On May 16, a 17-year-old Muleshoe teen was driving a 1998 Dodge pickup truck eastbound at the time of the crash. The driver was traveling eastbound on Curry Road 14 in the Clovis area when he crashed into a pipe fence at around 11:15 p.m. that evening. The driver suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two passengers, both 17-year-old teens from Farwell, were taken to Plains Regional Medical Center for the treatment of sustained injuries. One of the passengers was later flown to a hospital in Lubbock for additional aid.
An ongoing investigation into the deadly accident is being handled by local authorities.
