Albuquerque, NM - Motorcyclist Injured in Hit-&-Run at Powers Way Rd & Coors Blvd

Albuquerque, NM (May 21, 2021) - On Thursday, May 20, there were reported injuries after a motorcycle crash in the Albuquerque area. 

The incident was reported that night at around 11:17 p.m. At the intersection of Powers Way Road SW and Coors Boulevard SW, a male motorcyclist was reportedly hit by a driver who fled the scene. The rider suffered significant injuries due to blunt force trauma. 

He was transported to the University of New Mexico Hospital as a trauma alert. Local authorities were involved in a pursuit with the suspect driver involved in the accident. No further updates have been provided at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
