Albuquerque, NM (May 23, 2021) - A Friday night crash in Albuquerque resulted in the death of a priest, according to reports from the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred outside of the Santa Maria de la Vid Abbey located on Coors Boulevard SW. That night, two vehicles were reportedly racing when one t-boned a vehicle containing two priests. One of the priests, identified as 35-year-old Graham Golden, suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
Golden and another brother were reportedly leaving the abbey to get dinner at the time of the fatal accident. The other priest, 24-year-old Lorenzo Romero, was also injured in the impact and transported to a local hospital for treatment. Romero is believed to make a full recovery.
An ongoing investigation into the incident is being managed by local authorities.
