Roswell, NM - Thirteen Injured in Rollover Crash on Bottomless Lakes Road

Roswell, NM (April 21, 2021) - A rollover accident in Bottomless State Park in Roswell resulted in thirteen injuries on Monday night, April 19. 

According to the New Mexico State Police, a 2001 Ford F-150 was driving on Bottomless Lakes Road when the vehicle approached a curve on the roadway. The pickup truck overturned onto its side and left the road. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene at around 6 p.m. that evening. 

The ages of the passengers were reportedly between 6 and 17 years old. According to local reports, the 17-year-old driver of the pickup failed to navigate the turn, and excessive speed is believed to have played a role in the crash. No further information is available at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the incident is underway.
