Intersection Collisions in New Mexico
A busy intersection is a common site of serious crashes in New Mexico. National statistics reveal that an estimated 40% of reported vehicle collisions take place at intersections, with more than 2.5 million accidents occurring annually at roadway crossings. These crashes are often severe and account for roughly one-quarter of traffic-related fatalities each year. The majority of intersection accidents involve left-hand turns and other dangerous maneuvers.
In the state of New Mexico, plaintiffs injured in a vehicle collision have a right to be fully compensated for injuries resulting from the actions of a negligent party. When calculating the extent of a victim’s damages, many different factors are taken into consideration, including the suffering endured by the victim and the extent of their financial damages resulting from a New Mexico car accident. Considering all these factors can be overwhelming for those trying their best to recover after a car accident.
