Clovis, NM - Officer, Driver Injured after Crash at Sycamore St & E 1st St

Clovis, NM (February 28, 2021) - A Clovis police officer and another driver suffered injuries following a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday, February 24. 

The accident took place at the intersection of Sycamore Street and E. 1st Street at around 5:10 p.m. The officer was reported to be en route to assist with another crash on E. Marby Drive when the patrol vehicle was hit by another car. Both the officer and other drivers were hospitalized for treatment of sustained injuries. 

The patrol car had to be towed away from the scene. A gas main was also damaged in the crash and had to be serviced. The identities of the injured parties have not been disclosed. 

An ongoing investigation into the crash is underway.
