Lovington, NM (October 17, 2022) - A man was killed after being killed in a pedestrian crash outside of Lovington on Thursday, October 13.
The deadly accident was reported at the intersection of Megert Lane and Gill Road. It was revealed that 22-year-old Jesus L. Montoya was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck when the vehicle overturned. Montoya exited the truck and was in a ditch when he was hit by another vehicle.
Montoya was taken to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead. No other injuries were reported.
Local authorities are handling the ongoing accident investigation.
