Alamogordo, NM - Brian Oberlander Dies in Motorcycle Crash on US-54

Alamogordo, NM (October 14, 2022) - On Monday, October 10, a two-vehicle collision on US-54 north of Alamogordo resulted in the death of a motorcyclist. 

Local sources revealed that 39-year-old Brian Stephen Oberlander was operating a motorcycle on the highway. There was a vehicle traveling ahead of Oberlander. The rider attempted to pass the other vehicle, and a crash ensued. 

Oberlander suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress.
