Santa Rosa, NM (July 17, 2022) – Officers were dispatched to the scene of a crash with firefighters that sent at least one person to a nearby hospital with injuries. Just after 950 p.m., on July 16, calls came in regarding a crash on Interstate 40 that required assistance.
Preliminary investigations into the accident show that a crash involving vehicles blocked the eastbound side of Interstate 40. The crash caused delays near mile marker 272, just one mile west of Santa Rosa, New Mexico.
The incident occurred on the left lanes of the interstate, causing delays in the area.
At least one person involved in the crash suffered injuries and was transported by ambulance to a medical facility in the area for treatment.
Officers are currently conducting an investigation into the crash.
