Albuquerque, NM - Police Respond to Major MVA on I-25 near Lead Ave

Albuquerque, NM (July 30, 2022) - A major vehicle crash happened in Albuquerque on the afternoon of June 27. At approximately 3:00 p.m., responders were sent to the scene of a wreck on Interstate 25. 

Sources say the collision took place on I-25 in the southbound lanes just after Lead Avenue/Central/Exit 224 A. Traffic was stopped back to Interstate 40 for some time and three lanes of the roadway were blocked. 

One or more individuals suffered injuries. At least one person was transported from the scene to a local hospital for treatment. Currently, police continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash. 

Few details are available to report at this time. We hope for the full recovery of those with injuries.
