Albuquerque, NM (June 11, 2022) - A woman lost her life after being involved in a hit-and-run accident in the Albuquerque area on Friday morning, June 10. The deadly crash was reported at the intersection of Central Avenue and Louisiana Boulevard at around 11:50 a.m.
The victim was reportedly walking southbound when she was hit by a black pickup truck. The at-fault driver fled the scene and left the injured party. According to a witness, the motorist was traveling over the posted speed limit leading up to the accident.
The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased party has not been revealed at this time.
An investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is underway.
