Farmington, NM (May 19, 2022) - A pedestrian lost their life after being involved in a traffic accident in the Farmington area on Monday night, May 16. The deadly accident was reported on US-64 at around 9:15 p.m. at around 9:15 p.m.
It was reported that a pedestrian was traveling along the highway when they were hit by an oncoming tractor-trailer. The injured party suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi was not injured in the crash.
The deceased victim was identified as 63-year-old Keederson Benally. No additional information on the deadly accident has been provided at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being handled by local law enforcement officials.
