Artesia, NM (May 27, 2022) - A car accident in the Artesia area on Wednesday morning, May 25, ended in the death of a Roswell man. The fatal crash was reported on US-285 at around 5:40 a.m.
Local reports indicated that 48-year-old Donald Flores was traveling southbound in a pickup truck. He reportedly was involved in a crash with another southbound vehicle. Flores was transported to Artesia General Hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver and three passengers in the other vehicle were not injured. No further updates have been provided at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
