Los Alamos, NM - Fallen Tree Causes Multi-Vehicle Crash on NM-4

Los Alamos, NM (December 16, 2021) - A pileup crash in Los Alamos left at least one person injured on Wednesday morning, December 15. The accident was reported near mile marker 43 on NM-4 at around 7:15 a.m. 

When emergency responders arrived, there were several fallen tree limbs on the highway. Several vehicles were involved, and the involved parties were trapped inside. The injured parties were extricated by emergency units, and two people were reportedly transported to a local hospital for treatment. Both sides of the roadway were closed for several hours. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
