Deadly Pedestrian Crashes in New Mexico

Albuquerque, NM - Pedestrian Fatally Hit at Menaul Blvd & Cagua DrPedestrians are more vulnerable to road hazards, making them more likely to suffer serious injuries in car accidents. In New Mexico, pedestrians and motorists frequently cross paths on the road. Since 2016, the state has had the country's highest rate of pedestrian deaths. Pedestrian fatalities are on the rise in the United States, with pedestrians 1.5 times more likely than passengers in passenger cars to die in a car accident.

When a loved one dies as a result of another party's negligence, wrongful death lawsuits are filed to compensate the surviving family members. On the other hand, getting that compensation is frequently easier said than done. The fact that the victim died does not absolve the wrongdoer of responsibility. When a fatal accident occurs, insurance companies for those who are at fault frequently try to shift blame. Instead of compensating the deceased's family members after a fatal car accident, the defendant should compensate the deceased's family members to help with accident-related expenses. Only an Albuquerque personal injury attorney with years of experience helping victims pursue wrongful death claims can assist you.
