Fatal Pedestrian Accidents in New Mexico

Albuquerque, NM - Update: Kevin Vigil Fatally Struck on I-25Many New Mexicans prefer to travel by foot. It may be to enjoy a beautiful day or to reduce their carbon footprint. Pedestrians, on the other hand, are more likely to sustain serious injuries in the event of a car accident. Walkers are nearly 1.5 times more likely to be killed in a car accident, according to national statistics. In 2017, there were 5,977 pedestrians killed in car accidents in the United States.

Wrongful death lawsuits are intended to compensate surviving family members when a loved one dies as a result of another party's negligence. Unfortunately, obtaining that compensation can be easier said than done. Those responsible for a deadly accident deserve to be held accountable. Insurance companies will frequently try to shift blame for a fatal accident. The at-fault party should pay compensation to the family members of the deceased to assist with accident-related expenses. Only an Albuquerque personal attorney with years of experience helping victims pursue wrongful death claims can help you recover due compensation.
