Clovis, NM (October 4, 2021) - On Sunday, October 3, one man was killed and a woman injured in the aftermath of a two-vehicle accident in Clovis.
The site of the deadly crash was located at the crossing of E. 1st Street and S. Prince Street. Local reports revealed that 37-year-old Clifford Baca was driving a 1997 Lincoln Town Car when he collided with a semi-truck at around 7:39 a.m. The vehicle was trapped underneath the commercial vehicle.
Baca was killed in the aftermath of the accident. A 37-year-old woman riding in the car was taken to a local hospital for the treatment of severe head injuries. No further information on the incident has been disclosed at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal crash is being handled by local law enforcement officials.
