Laguna, NM - Semi-Truck Collision on I-40 Results in a Fatality

Laguna, NM (August 9, 2021) - A fatal collision involving an 18-wheeler and an SUV was reported in the Laguna area on Sunday, August 8. 

The deadly crash reportedly occurred on Interstate 40 EB near Exit 126. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene to provide aid to the injured parties. The SUV and the semi-truck reportedly crashed at the scene, leaving one person with fatal injuries. 

Two other involved parties sustained injuries in the crash. The injured victims were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The area was closed for some time, and traffic was diverted onto NM-6. The identities of the involved parties have not been revealed at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the crash is in progress.
