Albuquerque, NM - Woman Fatally Struck by Semi at I-40 & 4th St

Albuquerque, NM (August 26, 2021) - A pedestrian was killed after being hit by an 18-wheeler in the Albuquerque area on Thursday, August 26. 

The deadly crash occurred on Interstate 40 near 4th Street. Emergency responders were called to the scene early that morning at around 4 a.m. A woman was reportedly walking along the highway when they were struck by the semi. 

The injured party was pronounced dead at the scene by responding emergency personnel. The semi-truck was traveling westbound at the time of the crash. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed at this time. No further updates have been provided.
