Albuquerque, NM Bicyclist Fatally Struck at Coors Blvd & Gonzales

Albuquerque, NM (August 13, 2021) - On Thursday, August 12, a man was killed after being hit while on a bicycle in the Albuquerque area. 

The deadly crash occurred late that night at around 6:32 p.m. The scene was located near the crossing of Coors Boulevard SW and Gonzales Road SW, just south of Central Avenue. All northbound lanes were closed due to the crash. 

The rider was riding a bike when he was struck by a motor vehicle. The injured cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by responding medical personnel. The identity of the deceased party has not been revealed at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly bicycle accident is being managed by the Albuquerque Police Department. As the inquiry progresses, more information will be made public.
