Albuquerque, NM - Deadly Two-Car Crash at I-40 & Rte 66 Casino

Albuquerque, NM (June 5, 2021) - A fatal traffic accident in Albuquerque resulted in roadway closures on Friday, June 4. 

The deadly collision reportedly occurred on Interstate 40 EB near the Route 66 Casino. According to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred that evening and involved two vehicles. At least one of the involved vehicles reportedly overturned. 

The incident resulted in at least one fatality. At this time, the number of involved parties has not been disclosed. All eastbound lanes on the highway were closed while emergency personnel were at the scene. 

Law enforcement officials are handling the investigation into the fatal crash.
