Alamogordo, NM - Michael Warren Hulburt Killed in Motorcycle Crash on US-54

Alamogordo, NM (June 8, 2021) - An El Paso man was killed following a motorcycle crash in the Alamogordo area on Friday, June 4. 

The deadly accident reportedly occurred on US-54 near milepost 47. According to the New Mexico State Police, 51-year-old Michael Warren Hulburt Jr. of El Paso, Texas was traveling by motorcycle on the highway at the time of the crash. Hulburt reportedly lost control of the bike, causing him and his passenger to be ejected. 

Hulburt was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. The passenger, a 46-year-old woman, was transported to a nearby medical facility for the treatment of sustained injuries. No further updates on her condition have been provided. 

An investigation into the cause of the fatal crash is underway.
