Albuquerque, NM - Motorcyclist Seriously Injured at I-40 & 6th St

Albuquerque, NM (May 16, 2021) - A vehicle collision in the Albuquerque area on Sunday, May 16, resulted in the injury of a motorcyclist. 

The accident took place at around 10:36 a.m. at the intersection of Interstate 40 EB and 6th Street. According to initial reports, the crash reportedly involved a motorcyclist. A 65-year-old male rider was found injured at the scene when emergency responders arrived. 

The injured party reportedly sustained serious head injuries. The highway was reduced to a single lane while emergency responders were present. The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of serious injuries. 

No further information on the crash has been provided at this time. The Albuquerque Police Department is handling the ongoing accident investigation.
