Las Cruces, NM - Injury Crash with 18-Wheeler & Dump Truck on I-10

Las Cruces, NM (April 30, 2021) - There were reported injuries following a two-vehicle accident in Las Cruces on Friday, April 30. 

The crash took place early that morning on Interstate 10 EB near mile marker 132, close to the Las Cruces airport overpass. A semi-truck reportedly jack-knifed into a dump truck on the highway, leaving piles of wreckage in a nearby construction zone. The cab of the semi was destroyed in the impact. 

A passenger of the commercial truck suffered injuries and was taken to the University Medical Center in El Paso for treatment. No updates on the condition of the injured party are available at this time. 

No further information on the crash has been provided. Law enforcement officials are handling the investigation into the cause of the accident.
