Albuquerque, NM - Multi-Vehicle Injury Collision at I-40 & Rio Grande Blvd

Albuquerque, NM (April 2, 2021) - On Thursday, April 1, a pileup crash in the city of Albuquerque resulted in confirmed injuries. 

The accident was reported at around 3:43 p.m. that afternoon. According to the Albuquerque Police Department, the accident occurred at the intersection of Interstate 40 WB and Rio Grande Boulevard. A total of six vehicles were involved in the collision. 

The extent of the related damages has not been confirmed at this time. First responders were called to the scene to provide aid to the injured parties. Ambulances were on-site to transport those requiring further treatment. 

Law enforcement officials are managing the investigation into the collision.
