Albuquerque, NM - Interstate 40 & Rio Grande Blvd Site of Injury Collision

Albuquerque, NM (April 1, 2021) - There were reported injuries following a car wreck on Wednesday night, March 31, in the Albuquerque area. 

Initial reports revealed that the crash happened at around 6:22 p.m. Emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection of Interstate 40 EB and Rio Grande Boulevard to provide aid to the involved parties. The extent of the related injuries was not included in the local reports. 

When authorities arrived, the area was closed to outside traffic, resulting in delays on the highway. The crash victims were provided aid by responding paramedics. The identities of the injured parties were not disclosed. 

The Albuquerque Police Department is conducting an investigation into the accident.
