Albuquerque, NM - Cyclist Injured in Accident at 2nd St & Menaul Blvd

Albuquerque, NM (April 8, 2021) - An accident involving a bicycle and a motor vehicle left a rider injured in Albuquerque on Wednesday, April 7. 

Local authorities were notified of the crash at around 12:54 p.m. The collision took place near the intersection of 2nd Street and Menaul Boulevard. A cyclist was reportedly hit by a motor vehicle near the intersection. 

Multiple emergency response units were called to the scene to provide aid to the injured party. At this time, it is unknown if the driver involved remained at the scene. The rider suffered injuries and was transported to a local medical facility by first responders. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
