Albuquerque, NM - Interstate 40 & San Mateo Blvd Scene of Injury Crash

Albuquerque, NM (March 18, 2021) - A serious accident in the Albuquerque area required assistance from local authorities on Thursday, March 18. 

The crash reportedly occurred early that morning at around 11:21 a.m. Two vehicles reportedly collided near the corner of Interstate 40 WB and San Mateo Boulevard NE. There were confirmed injuries at the scene according to the Albuquerque Fire Rescue. 

The scene was closed for some time while investigators and paramedics were present. First responders were present to render aid to the crash victims. Those requiring additional treatment were transported by ambulance to a local medical facility. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision is underway.
