Pedestrian Accidents in Albuquerque

Albuquerque, NM - Pedestrian Injured in Crash at Wyoming Blvd & Constitution PlThere is little protecting a pedestrian from the full impact of a serious motor vehicle accident. National statistics reveal that pedestrians are nearly 1.5 times more likely to be killed in the event of a collision. There were 5,977 pedestrians killed in the United States in 2017 alone, with a pedestrian dying in a car crash every 88 minutes on average. That year, New Mexico had the highest rate of pedestrian fatalities in the country according to a report from the Governor’s Highway Safety Association.

There is little protecting a pedestrian from the full impact of a serious accident, meaning that New Mexico car accidents involving pedestrians often result in severe to life-threatening injuries. In the event of a collision, pedestrians are vulnerable to suffering from life-changing injuries and other damages, including medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other losses. In some cases, injured parties can recover lost compensation with the help of a qualified New Mexico pedestrian injury lawyer and hold the party liable for the crash responsible for resulting damages.
