Albuquerque, NM - Motorcyclist Injured in Crash at Ave Cesar Chavez & 8th St

Albuquerque, NM (February 1, 2021) - A motorcyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a motor vehicle in the Albuquerque area on Sunday night, January 31. 

Local sources revealed that the motorcycle accident occurred at around 9:13 p.m. near the intersection of Avenida Cesar Chavez SW and 8th Street SW. The accident reportedly involved a motorcycle and another vehicle. When emergency responders arrived, the male rider was found lying unconscious on the ground. 

The vehicle that struck the motorcycle reportedly fled the scene. The rider suffered from a broken clavicle, multiple head injuries, and a broken leg. The injured party was transported to a nearby hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. 

No further information on the accident is currently available. Local law enforcement officials are currently investigating the crash.
