Albuquerque, NM - Danielle Archuleta Injured in Deadly Crash on I-40

Albuquerque, NM (February 2, 2021) - A wrong-way driver contributed to a deadly collision in Albuquerque on Sunday, January 31. 

Local sources revealed that the fatal crash took place on Interstate 40 near 98th Street. Reports from local authorities indicated that 38-year-old Danielle Archuleta was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of the highway when she collided with another driver. The driver of the other vehicle suffered fatal injuries at the scene. 

Archuleta was transported to the University of New Mexico Hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. A blood test was ordered after authorities found what appeared to be marijuana in the vehicle. Archuleta was charged with vehicular homicide. 

An ongoing investigation into the fatal collision is currently underway.
