Speeding-Related Crashes in Albuquerque
Exceeding the speed limit is a bad habit practiced by many New Mexico drivers. When drivers speed, they are at greater risk of suffering from serious injuries in the event of a crash. Nearly one-third of reported traffic fatalities in the United States over the past twenty years have involved speeding. In 2018, there were 9,378 people killed by speeding drivers nationwide, an average of 25 deaths per day.
Car crashes in New Mexico are caused by a variety of roadway hazards, such as poor driving, excessive speed, unsafe road conditions, poor truck maintenance, road construction, and inadequate signage. Determining liability for a crash can be difficult and more complex than simply determining fault, and injured parties are often unprepared to protect their legal rights after a catastrophic accident.
