Albuquerque, NM - Moped Hit by Construction Truck at Lead Ave & Mulberry St

Albuquerque, NM (January 30, 2021) - A moped rider sustained serious injuries after being struck by a motor vehicle in Albuquerque on Friday morning, January 29. 

Local sources revealed that the collision occurred at around 11:57 a.m. First responders were called to the site of the crash at the intersection of Lead Avenue SE and Mulberry Street SE. The moped was reportedly struck by a construction truck. 

The rider was reportedly bleeding heavily and lying on the roadway when emergency responders arrived. At this time, the severity of the resulting injuries is unclear. The identity of the injured victim has been withheld. 

The Albuquerque Police Department is currently investigating the cause of the accident.
